awesome! I played a Visual Novel once too, called 'Always Remember Me'. Then I also knew about another VN in which the characters shown are birds but sometimes the humanified birds in a form of anime is also shown. However, I didn't play that one.
Another great VN you should try too if you have a psp or a playstation, you should definitely try Persona 3 (psp) or Persona 4 (Ps). But there are some action scenes too like fighting evil during midnight while in the morning we interact with friends at school. We can communicate with them and increase our so-called "social link" with them. If the social link has reached its maximum level, you can date him/her. You can also choose the main character (guy/girl) for Persona 3. I haven't played persona 4 yet. But I heard it's a lot of fun too.
